Our Story
From a young age, our founder and owner DJ Dietrich, found himself with a boundless energy that often tested his parents' patience. As a means of providing them with some much-needed respite, he began taking woodworking classes. Although he initially viewed this as a chore, he soon discovered that he had a natural aptitude for this craft.
Years later, as he moved out and began living independently, he quickly became aware of the exorbitant cost associated with high-quality furniture and decor. He realized that he could leverage his past experience with woodworking to create bespoke pieces of his own, without breaking the bank.
After a period of inactivity, he dusted off his trusty table saw and chisels, eager to rediscover his passion for woodworking. He set about designing custom pieces for his friends, family, and himself, and as he honed his skills, he was able to create increasingly intricate and detailed works of art.
As word of his prowess with woodworking spread, he found himself being approached by clients who admired his work and sought to commission their own bespoke pieces. He was honored to be able to create unique pieces for those he respected and looked up to, and as his workload grew, he was inspired to turn his garage hobby into a fully-fledged business.
Today, his once-forgotten hobby has blossomed into Iron Steel Woodworking - a business renowned for its impeccable craftsmanship, attention to detail, and unique pieces that can't be found anywhere else.
